Baraga Radio Network is a non-profit 501(c)(3) Catholic radio ministry that owns and operates radio stations across northern Michigan. We broadcast Catholic programming primarily created by EWTN and Ave Maria Radio, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Part of a growing movement of Catholic radio stations across the country, Baraga Radio began in the Diocese of Gaylord in 2006, founded by Fr. Harry Speckman, OFM and Tom McMahon in a small studio house across the street from the National Shrine of the Cross in the Woods, in Indian River, MI.
We have grown into a network of six stations that reaches across the state from Lake Michigan to Lake Huron, and north to Sault Sainte Marie in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. In Spring of 2015, our Main Office moved two hours south to Traverse City, MI.
With a dedicated staff, working Board of Directors, and committed volunteers, Baraga Radio is a growing ministry that seeks to serve the Church in Northern Michigan for generations to come. The Board of Directors consists of members that represent communities and parishes from across the listening area.
